Queer Surrogacy Is Now Quest Surrogacy: Why We Rebranded—and What Hasn’t Changed

When Queer Surrogacy was born, the name wasn’t just a label—it was a declaration. It was our way of planting a flag for the families and futures too often left out of mainstream surrogacy spaces.
We proudly led with the word queer because it was personal. It was political. It was us. We saw it as a way to reclaim space in an industry that still tends to center cisgender, heterosexual, partnered people. And we wanted LGBTQIA+ people to know from the very beginning: This is for you.
The word queer carried power for us. It still does.
But as our community grew, and our visibility expanded, we began running into roadblocks—most of them coming from outside the communities we serve. Social media platforms began flagging or removing our posts. Our content was restricted, our visibility throttled. We were shadowbanned, censored, and in some cases, targeted with direct harassment.
All because of a word that felt like home.
And so, with heavy hearts and clear vision, we made the decision to shift our name—not our mission.
Why “Quest”?
We chose the name Quest Surrogacy because the surrogacy journey is just that: a quest. A courageous, intentional, and deeply personal path that requires trust, vulnerability, and love. It’s a name that captures the heart of what we do—supporting intended parents and gestational carriers through one of the most meaningful chapters of their lives.

“Quest” also speaks to legacy, growth, and movement. It gives us space to build bridges with new allies, expand our reach, and continue creating an ecosystem that uplifts LGBTQIA+ families—without being silenced for the language we use to describe ourselves.
And make no mistake: while the name may be different, we are still proudly queer-founded, queer-led, and queer-centered. That hasn’t changed. That will not change.
What This Means for Our Community
If you’ve been with us since the Queer Surrogacy days, thank you. Your support helped us grow into something bigger than we could’ve imagined. If you’re just discovering us as Quest Surrogacy, welcome—we’re so glad you’re here.
This rebrand allows us to reach more people, tell our story more freely, and ensure that LGBTQIA+ intended parents continue to have a space built specifically with them in mind. We are fiercely protective of our community, and everything we do is rooted in the belief that queer and trans people deserve safe, affirming, and joyful paths to parenthood.

And to those who reached out when our posts were removed… who messaged us to ask if we were okay… who helped us feel seen in the messiness of being queer in a censored online world: we love you. You reminded us of why this work matters.
What’s Next
The journey continues. We’re expanding our resources, growing our network, and actively seeking out partnerships that align with our mission. We’re building with intention—just like the families we serve.

Whether you're a future parent, a potential gestational carrier, or someone who just believes in this work—we invite you to be part of the journey. Because every family deserves to feel like they belong, and that’s exactly what we’re creating—one Quest at a time.
With love,
Team Quest Surrogacy
