How Much Do Gestational Carriers Get Paid?

Our comprehensive benefits package covers it all. While we understand the financial aspect of helping grow another family is just one benefit of your surrogacy journey, we realize that it does play a role, and you deserve the best.​

  • First-Time Surrogates:

    • Typically earn between $45,000 and $65,000. ​

​​

  • Experienced Surrogates:

    • Often receive $60,000 to $110,000, reflecting their prior experience and proven track record.

​The average compensation for gestational surrogates in the United States varies based on several factors, including experience, location, and agency policies. Here's a breakdown of current compensation ranges:​

  • Experience Level: Repeat surrogates typically command higher compensation due to their familiarity with the process. ​

​

  • Geographical Location: Compensation often aligns with the cost of living and demand in specific regions. ​

​​

  • Agency Policies: Different agencies offer varying compensation packages, which may include additional benefits and reimbursements.

How Do Surrogates Get Paid?

At Quest Surrogacy, all payments are securely managed through SeedTrust Escrow, a trusted third-party agency. This ensures transparency, reliability, and peace of mind—so you and your Intended Parent(s) can focus on what truly matters: a healthy and supported pregnancy.

All financial details, including the timing and structure of payments, will be clearly outlined and mutually agreed upon in your Gestational Agreement.

Every surrogate we work with receives a comprehensive benefits package, which includes fair and transparent compensation, along with additional allowances and reimbursements to support you throughout the journey.
 

Whether it’s maternity clothing, travel expenses, missed wages, or wellness care, we make sure you’re supported—emotionally, logistically, and financially—from match to postpartum.

Surrogate Benefit Package

Compensation $60-$100k

First-time gestational carriers receive a base pay of $45,000. For each additional journey completed, compensation increases by $5,000 to honor your experience and continued commitment.

  • Second-time carrier: $50,000

  • Third-time carrier: $55,000

Each journey is unique, and so is the recognition you deserve.
